The Sarasota County 4-H Foundation, comprised of all volunteers, has been in existence for more than 30 years. Our purpose is to raise money each year to support the Sarasota County 4-H program and to award scholarships to qualifying 4-Hers attending camps, leadership activities, and graduating high school.
Raising the funds needed to serve these youth and build an endowment for future generations is a daunting task. The Sarasota County 4-H Foundation has no physical office or paid staff allowing all monies raised to benefit the 4-H programs, projects and activities. It is only with your support that we can make this possible.
Events
We have several fundraising events throughout the year. You may have even seen us set up at the Sarasota County Fair or another event, selling elephant ears and funnel cakes. Maybe you watched a 4Her show the Foundation steer, or hog during the fair. And every spring, we host a Sporting Clay Event open to the public. Sponsor
Calling all sponsors. We are looking for business partners, sponsors, and donations to make our events successful. Raffle items such as gift cards, themed gift baskets, or travel certificates are always welcome. No item is too small and all are greatly appreciated. Business owners can contribute on many levels, from yearly support to a single event or item. Not able to contribute yourself? Perhaps you could help us with an introduction to someone. Volunteer
Have you got some extra time? Maybe you have a particular skill or service. The Sarasota 4-H Foundation could use your help. New members are welcome and interviews are held throughout the year. Not sure you have that much time? Become an associate member and contribute to a level that suits your schedule. Too busy for that, or is fundraising not your thing? We are always in need of services throughout the year. Any help is appreciated and allows us to keep our operating expenses minimal.
